Potential <br />objectors should contact HUD to verify the actual last day of the objection period. <br />NAME AND TITLE OF CERTIFYING OFFICER <br />John Jermanis, City Manager <br />City of San Leandro <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The City and Agency are required to conduct environmental review of the ABHOW project <br />under both the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Enviromental <br />Quality Act (CEQA). <br />NEPA <br />The City of San Leandro has determined that the project will have no significant impact on the <br />human environment. Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under NEPA is not <br />required. Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record <br />(ERR) on file at the Development Services Department, City of San Leandro, 835 East 14tH <br />Street, San Leandro, CA and may be examined or copied weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. <br />CEQA <br />The Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro will consider adopting a Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration for the ABHOW project. An Initial Study was conducted for the ABHOW <br />project and the study concluded that there would be no significant impact on the environment <br />when proposed mitigation measures are implemented. A Mitigated Negative Declaration has <br />been prepared and will be considered for adoption by the Redevelopment Agency following a <br />legal review period on February 7, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the San Leandro City Council Chambers <br />at 835 East 14`h Street, San Leandro. Copies of the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration, <br />Initial Study and all referenced documents are available for public review at the Development <br />Services Department, City of San Leandro, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, CA and may be <br />examined or copied weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Comments related to the Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration may be sent to the above address from January 5, 2000 to February 4, <br />2000. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Any individual, group, or agency disagreeing with this determination or wishing to comment on <br />the project may submit written comments to the City of San Leandro Development Services <br />Department. Comments on the request for release of funds must be received by February 4, <br />2000. Anyone challenging the items noted above may be limited to addressing only those issued <br />raised during the public comment period or in written correspondence delivered to the City prior <br />to the close of the comment period. <br />
