•
IMPACTS OF PROPOSED PROJECTS
Project Description
The proposed project consists of a total of approximately 180,000 square feet of office space at
buildout. The proposed project is located north of Davis Street between San Leandro Boulevard and
Carpentier Street. Local access to the proposed project will .eventually be provided via two
driveways on San Leandro Boulevard and one driveway on Carpentier Street. The project site plan is
shown in Figure 3.
Trip Generation
The proposed project is expected to generate 1,982 daily trips, 281 a.m. peak hour trips and 265 p.m.
peak hour trips. The trip generation assumptions for the project are based on information contained
in Trip Generation, Sixth Edition, published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Table II
illustrates the estimated trip generation for the proposed project.
Table II
Project Trip Generation

Use Size Daily A.M. Peak Hour P.M. Tlie trip distribution assumptions are:
• 45 percent would travel on Davis Street to and from the west.
• 30 percent would travel on Davis Street to and from the east.
• 5 percent would travel on San Leandro Boulevard to and from the north.
• 5 percent would travel on Williams Street and Marina Boulevard to and from the west
via Davis Street and/or local arterials and collectors.
• 5 percent would travel on San Leandro Boulevard to and from the south.
• 5 percent would travel on East 14th Street to and from the south.
• 5 percent would travel on East 14th Street to and from the north.
__~~1
San Leandro Creekside Plaza Business Park Traffic Study Page 8
TJKM Transportation Consultants October 26, 1999
