Vegetated Swale Maintenance Plan for <br />2103 E. 14th Street, San Leandro, CA <br />July 16, 2008 <br />The property contains six (6) vegetable swales, located as described below and shown in the <br />attached site plan. <br />• Vegetated Swale No. 1 is located at near the handicap parking and next to the property <br />line N42°39'43"E. <br />• Vegetated Swale No. 2 is located at near and perpendicular to the sidewalk of E. 14tH <br />street and next to property line N42°39'43"E. <br />• Vegetated swale No. 3 is located at near the walkway and in front of units and northeast <br />of circular landscape. <br />• Vegetated swale No. 4 is located between two circular landscapes. <br />• Vegetated Swale No. 5 is located at near the circular landscape and next to property line <br />N47°16'40"E. <br />• Vegetated swale No. 6 is located at behind the unit and northwest of the Swale no.4. <br />I. Routine Maintenance Actives <br />The maintenance objectives for vegetated swales include keeping up the pollutant removal <br />efficiency of the channel by maintaining a dense, healthy vegetated cover. Routine maintenance <br />activities, and the frequency at which will be conducted, are shown in Table 1. <br />Table 1 <br />Routine Maintenance Activities for Vegetated Swales <br />No. Maintenance Task Frequency of Task <br />1 Mow turf grass to 6-inch height.
