(~ fEXHIBR C <br />Vegetated Swale Maintenance Plan for <br />2075 William: Stand 2010 Marina Blvd, San Leandro, CA <br />June 10, 2010 <br />The property contains three vegetated swales, located as described <br />below and as shown in the attached site plan. <br />Vegetated awale No. l is located at the west property line of 2010 Marina Blvd, north of the <br />Union Pacific rail spur that crosses the site. <br />Vegetated Swale No. 2 is located at the west property line of 2010 Marina Blvd, south of the <br />Union Pacific rail spur that crosses the site. <br />Vegetated awale No. 3 is located at the triangular shaped area where the Union Pacific rail <br />spur crosses the site. <br />I. Routine Aaintenance Activities <br />The maintenance objectives for the vegetative swales include keeping up the pollutant removal <br />efficiency of the channel by maintaining a dense, healthy vegetated cover. Routine <br />maintenance activities, and the frequency at which they will be conducted, are shown in Table <br />1. <br />Table 1 Routine Maintenance Activities for Vegetated 8wales <br />No. Maintenance Task Frequency of Task <br />1 Remove dead dumping grass blades. Pull by Inspect and perform required maintenance <br /> hand or cut out as necessary. Remove dead and morrthly. <br /> cut grass blade dippings. <br /> Three times per week for establishment period, <br /> reduce after one year. Once established, water <br />2 Irrigate during dry weather. once per week maximum in summer, and do not <br /> water in spring, fall and winter (use judgment <br /> during rainy season based on wetteror drier <br /> ears . <br />3 Remove obstructions and trash from vegetated Monthly, or as needed <br /> Swale <br />4 Inspect svraie to check for erosion and sediment Twice a year: 1) one inspection should occur at <br /> and debris accumulation the end of the wet season in order to plan and <br /> sd~dule summer maintenance, 2) the other <br /> inspectton should occur after periods of heavy <br /> runoff <br />5 Remav® sediment accumulating near alverts and As needed. <br /> ~ d~annels when K builds up to 75 millimeters (3 <br /> inches) at any spot, or if it covers vegetation <br />8 Inspect swale using the attached inspection Monthly, or as needed <br /> cheddist. <br />II. Prohibitions <br />Pesticides and fertilizers shall not be used in vegetated swales. <br />
