Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 11 - <br /> Redevelopment Agency Meeting - October 21, 1996 <br /> Vice Mayor Polvorosa reminded the audience of the Public Hearing on <br /> this item scheduled for the November 18, 1996, City Council meeting. <br /> 6.8 Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br /> City Attorney Steve Meyers reported that there were four items on the <br /> Closed Session Agenda. <br /> He said two were litigation matters involving the old Singer - Friden <br /> site on which there was no final resolution. <br /> The remaining two items were related to real estate transactions. In <br /> both instances, Council gave direction to the real estate negotiators <br /> to negotiate with the parties listed; no final action was taken. <br /> 7. OPEN FORUM <br /> Open Forum is limited to 3 minutes maximum per speaker, 15 minutes total. <br /> 7.1 Anthony Zimiac, reminded the Council that they serve the public and <br /> urged them not to support the Business License Tax. He also <br /> complained that the card catalogs had been removed from the library. <br /> He said the computer takes too long, and he requested the card <br /> catalogs be brought back. <br /> 7.2 Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, read a statement regarding <br /> Redevelopment, the "unknown government." <br /> 8. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> 8.1 Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> None <br /> 8.2 Reports on City Council Subcommittees <br /> None <br /> 8.3 City Council Comments <br /> 8.3.1 Council Member Young nominated Thomas Burpee to the Planning <br /> Commission and asked that a resolution be placed on the <br /> November 4, 1996, City Council Agenda. Council concurred with <br /> the nomination. <br />
