(2024) Shirley Kerr thanked the City Council for their confidence in her and the opportunity to serve. Council Member Glaze noted her dedication . to the City, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Human Resources Commission. The following Motion was then introduced: M /S /C Glaze and Young. Ayes: 5; Noes: 0; Excused: Corbett and Loeffler. 6.3 Resolution No. 96 -171, Resolution Appointing Member to Library - Historical Commission (District 4) - Alban Cayere. (1017) Council Member Glaze noted Mr. Cayere's background in architecture and his interest in historical sites will be an asset to the Commission. This will be especially appreciated with the Library retrofit project. M /S /C Glaze and Galvan. Ayes: 5; Noes: 0; Excused: Corbett and Loeffler. The Acting City Clerk administered the Oath of Office. 6.4 Resolution No. 96 -172, Resolution Appointing Member to Planning Commission (District 6) - Lee Ness. (1018) Council Member Lothrop noted Mr. Ness' 19 years of service to the community. She said he had been on the Planning Commission since 1981. She noted Mr. Ness had offered to begin mentoring a citizen to replace him on the Planning Commission for the future. The following Motion was then introduced: M /S /C Lothrop and Glaze. Ayes: 5; Noes: 0; Excused: Corbett and Loeffler. 6.5 Resolution No. 96 -173, Resolution Offering Reward for Apprehension of Perpetrator (provides for a reward in the amount of $10,000 for information leading to the apprehension of the individual[s] involved in the murder of the unborn fetus and shooting of Janie Davis).
