maintenance of the system. <br /> (ax) Process Wastewater. Process Wastewater shall mean any water which, during <br /> manufacturing or processing, comes into contact with or results from the production or use of <br /> any raw material, intermediate product, finished product, byproduct or waste product. <br /> (ay) Reclaimed Water. Reclaimed Water shall mean water which, as a result of <br /> treatment of waste, is suitable for direct beneficial use or a restricted beneficial use that would <br /> not otherwise occur. <br /> (az) Regional Water Quality Control Board. Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> shall mean the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region. <br /> (ba) Sanitary Sewer. Sewer, sanitary sewer, City sanitary sewer or POTW shall mean <br /> a pipe or conduit which carries domestic sewage and /or industrial wastes and to which storm, <br /> surface, and groutidwaters are not intentionally admitted. A City sewer or public sewer is any <br /> sewer located within an easement or public right -of -way and which is maintained by the City of <br /> San Leandro. <br /> (bb) Sewer Lateral. Sewer Lateral shall mean the piping or conduits used to convey <br /> sewer wastewater within a building or structure and connecting the building or structure to a <br /> public or private sewerage collection, disposal and treatment system. <br /> (bc) Sewerage System. Sewerage System shall mean all sewers, facilities and <br /> appurtenances owned or operated by the City for carrying, collecting, pumping, treatment and <br /> disposal of waste and wastewater. <br /> • <br /> (bd) Significant Industrial User. Significant Industrial User shall mean: <br /> (1) Any Industrial User subject to federal categorical pretreatment standards; <br /> (2) Any other Industrial User that: <br /> Discharges an average of twenty -five thousand (25,000) gallons or more <br /> of process wastewater per day <br /> Contributes process wastewater making up five percent (5 %) or more of <br /> the dry weather hydraulic or organic capacity of the POTW. <br /> Is designated as such by the Manager on the basis that it has a reasonable <br /> potential to adversely effect the POTW's operation or to violate a <br /> pretreatment standard or requirement. <br /> 7 <br />
