IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2001 - 011 (1022) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE I, CHAPTER 3 OF THE <br /> SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> ESTABLISHING A TRAFFIC ADVISORY FUNCTION <br /> FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND <br /> AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF TITLE VI, CHAPTER 1 AND CHAPTER 2 <br /> OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL AND TOW AWAY ZONES <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1: Title I, Chapter 3, Article 10 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> Section 1 -3 -1005 POWERS AND DUTIES. The Planning Commission shall: <br /> (a) hear and recommend to the City Council on proposals to adopt, amend or repeal a <br /> general plan for the physical development of the City; <br /> (b) exercise such functions with respect to land subdivisions, planning, zoning and future <br /> right -of -way lines as are prescribed in Chapters 3, 13 and 16 of Title VII of this Code; <br /> (c) hear and recommend to the City Council proposals that affect the traffic circulation in <br /> the City, if such proposals are referred to the Commission by the Zoning Enforcement Official or <br /> the Transportation Administrator; and initiate proposals to the City Council regarding the <br /> desirability of enacting new regulations or programs regarding traffic circulation; <br /> (d) possess the powers and perform the duties prescribed by statute. <br /> Section 2. Title VI, Chapter 1, Article 5, Section 6 -1 -500 and 6 -5 -505 of the San Leandro <br /> Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 6 -1 -500 NO PARKING. <br /> (a) General: It shall be unlawful for the driver of a vehicle to stop, park or leave <br /> standing such vehicle whether attended or unattended, except when necessary to avoid conflict <br /> with other traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer, traffic officer, or traffic <br /> sign or signal: <br /> (1) In an intersection; <br /> (2) In a crosswalk; <br /> 1 <br />
