1 <br /> WH EREAS, Hausrath Economics Group has prepared a report dated January. 2000 <br /> entitled "City of San Leandro Park Impact Fee Study" which is attached as Exhibit A <br /> (hereafter the "Report"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Report demonstrates that the existing standard for developed <br /> parkland in the City of San Leandro ( "City ") is actually 4.86 acres for each 1,000 persons <br /> residing in the City; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Section 815 of Chapter 1 of Title VII of the San Leandro Municipal <br /> Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> As of the effective date of this ordinance, the City devotes approximately 4.86 acres <br /> of property for each 1,000 persons residing within the City, to neighborhood and <br /> community park and recreational purposes. It is hereby found and determined that <br /> the public interest, convenience, health, welfare and safety require that 4.86 acres per <br /> 1.000 persons is required to be devoted to neighborhood and community park and <br /> recreational purposes and that this requirement shall be applied to future <br /> subdivisions. <br /> Section 2. The formula for acreage requirement set forth in Section 820 of <br /> Chapter 1 of Title VII of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br /> fol lows: <br /> Population* /1,000 X 4.86 <br />
