November 2 City Y. Cent Sales Tax Measure <br /> City Manager Steve Hollister reported that at their last regular meeting, the <br /> City Council voted 6 -1 to place a 'A of 1 percent sales tax increase measure <br /> on the November ballot. If passed by a simple majority (50 percent plus 1), <br /> the measure would increase sales tax in San Leandro to 10 percent. A <br /> campaign committee has been formed, and the City is planning on sending <br /> out an informational mailer to the community. <br /> Mayor Santos added that San Leandro is among several cities in Alameda <br /> 1 <br />
