BALLOT MEASURE ._. _ . — .- -- . <br /> FULL TEXT OF MEASURE <br /> "To continue to improve and modernize its schools, renovate athletic facilities including <br /> Burrell Field, replace the pools at San Leandro High School, enhance energy efficiency and <br /> promote safe, healthy schools for all students, shall the San Leandro Unified School District be <br /> authorized to replace, renovate, acquire and construct school facilities, and issue $50,100,000 in <br /> bonds at legal interest rates with no funds for administrator salaries, conduct annual <br /> independent audits, and appoint an Independent Oversight Committee to monitor bond <br /> expenditures ?" <br /> As required by the California Constitution, the proceeds from the sale of the bonds will <br /> be used only for the construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation or replacement of school <br /> facilities, including the furnishing and equipping of school facilities, or the acquisition or lease <br /> of real property for school facilities, and not for any other purpose, such as teacher and <br /> administrator salaries and other school operating expenses. <br /> San Leandro Unified School District <br /> Bond Project List <br /> The District intends to complete the following projects, using a combination of bond • <br /> funding and other funding sources. Other potential sources include state matching funds, joint - <br /> use funds from the State and the City of San Leandro, and any other available sources. <br /> All of the schools in the District will benefit from projects financed with bond proceeds. <br /> The following is a list of schools in the San Leandro Unified School District: <br /> Garfield Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Madison Elementary, McKinley Elementary, <br /> Monroe Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Washington Elementary, Wilson Elementary, <br /> Bancroft Middle School, John Muir Middle School, Lincoln Continuation High School, San <br /> Leandro High School and the San Leandro Adult School. • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> A4 <br />
