r <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 28 (2880) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING VESTING TENTATIVE MAP <br /> (Vesting Tentative Map, Tract 7183; Northeast Corner of Thornton Street and San Leandro <br /> Boulevard ) <br /> Findings <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro finds that the proposed map, together with the <br /> provisions for its design and improvements, are as follows: <br /> A. The proposed map will be consistent with the General Plan and applicable specific plans, <br /> in that it provides for lower- density residential use in an area with some older residential <br /> development. <br /> 13. The design and improvements of the proposed subdivision is consistent with the General <br /> Plan in that it includes an orderly division of the parcel which is adequately served by <br /> streets and with drainage for single- family, residential development. <br /> C. The site is physically suitable for residential development in that it is relatively flat, and <br /> there are no known problems regarding, cultural, historical or scenic aspects. Soil <br /> stability will be reviewed thoroughly prior to issuance of building permits. <br /> D. The proposed density of development of one dwelling unit per 2,700 square feet (16 <br /> units /acre) will be compatible with adjacent, existing, low and medium density, <br /> residential development. <br /> E. The design of the subdivision or proposed improvements are not likely to cause <br /> substantial environmental damage or substantially and avoidably injure fish or wildlife or <br /> their habitat as stated in the Negative Declaration. <br /> F. The design of the subdivision or type of improvements is not likely to cause serious <br /> public health problems. A residential subdivision will not involve any amounts of <br /> hazardous materials or products. <br /> G. The design of the subdivision or type of improvements will not conflict with easements, <br /> acquired by the public at large, for access through or use of, property within the proposed <br /> subdivision in that there are no known easements or proposed easements which the <br /> subdivision may affect or may affect the subdivision. <br />
