IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI -IE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 42 (1428/1176) <br /> RESOLUTION REMOVING VARIOUS STREETS <br /> IDENTIFIED TO BE WIDENED CITY -WIDE AND <br /> AMENDING THE 1988 MASTER PLAN OF CITY STREETS <br /> Recitals <br /> The City Council approved the "Master Plan of City Streets" by Resolution No. 88 -26 on <br /> March 7, 1988 and subsequently identified the Master Plan of City Streets as specific plan <br /> "necessary and convenient for the implementation of the General Plan of the City" in Ordinance <br /> No. 88 -023, Section 7 -11 -155. passed October 6, 1988. <br /> The Master Plan of City Streets provided a list of streets with specific improvements <br /> recommended to facilitate the planned development and growth in the City. Since the adoption <br /> of the Master Plan, the City's demographics, rate of development, and community concerns <br /> regarding the quality of life have changed. <br /> Based upon the changes that have occurred within the City, staff has reviewed all of the <br /> streets that were identified for improvements and has concluded that a number of streets no <br /> longer require the improvements that were identified in the 1988 Master Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That the Master Plan of City Streets is amended to eliminate the streets identified on the <br /> attached exhibit from the 1988 Master Plan. <br /> Introduced by Council Member G1 aze and passed and adopted this <br /> 3 day of April 2000, by the following called vote: <br />
