Section 9, COST AND PAYMENT FOR SERVICE: <br /> Section 9 is hereby amended by the addition of the following subsection (f): <br /> "f. In the event that ACFD enters into a contract to provide services to another entity, <br /> or terminates such an existing contract, and the creation or termination of that contract affects the <br /> resources allocated by ACFD to the City pursuant to this Agreement, the City may request that <br /> sections 8 and 9 of this Agreement be re- opened for discussion." <br /> Section 11, PERSONNEL: <br /> Section 11 is hereby amended by the addition of the following subsection (d): <br /> "d. The Fire Chief shall consult with and advise the City Manager on all matters <br /> pertaining to labor relations between the ACFD and its recognized employee organizations, <br /> when such matters and the resolution of them may affect the service levels or the City's costs <br /> pursuant to this Agreement." <br /> Section 14. 'PERM: <br /> Section 14 is hereby deleted and the following is added in its place: <br /> "This Agreement, as amended, is for a term of five years. It shall continue in force from ' <br /> 12:00 a.m. on July 1, 2000 until 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2005, unless sooner terminated in <br /> accordance with the provisions herein. Unless the parties notify each other prior to the <br /> termination of the five -year term of their desire to terminate or renegotiate the contract, it shall <br /> be automatically renewed for a second term of five years. It shall then be in force from 12:00 <br /> a.m. on July 1, 2005 until 11:59 p.m. 2010, unless sooner terminated in accordance with the <br /> provisions herein." <br /> First Amended Fire Protection & <br /> Emergency Medical Services Agreement <br />
