• I <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 59 (2883) <br /> RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> 13AMER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR A CITY -WIDE ENTRY SIGN <br /> AT GRAND AVENUE /JOAQUIN AVENUE INTERSECTION <br /> PROJECT NO. 99- 210 -38 -197 <br /> Recitals <br /> The City of San Leandro did, on April 11, 2000, publicly open, examine and declare all <br /> sealed proposals or bids for doing the work described in Resolution No. 2000 -38 of the Council <br /> of said City adopted on March 20, 2000, which resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a <br /> description of said resolution. <br /> Said proposals were submitted to the Engineering and Transportation Director who has <br /> recommended that the proposal hereinafter mentioned is the lowest responsive bid for doing said <br /> work. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That said City Council, because the lowest responsible bidder has submitted a <br /> nonresponsive bid, hereby waives any irregularities in the proposal or bid of the second lowest <br /> responsible bidder, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work to the second lowest <br /> responsible bidder therefore, to wit: Bamer Construction Company, at the prices named in its <br /> bid on file in the Office of the City Clerk. <br /> Introduced by Council Member Gal van and passed and adopted this <br /> 1st day of May 2000, by the following called vote: <br />
