IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 63 (2639/1980/1170) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ALAMEDA COUNTY EXPENDITURE PLAN AND <br /> RECOMMENDATION TO THE ALAMEDA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO <br /> PLACE AN EXTENSION OF THE ONE- HALF -CENT SALES TAX ON THE <br /> NOVEMBER 2000 BALLOT (MEASURE B) <br /> WHEREAS. The Alameda County Transportation Authority has approved the Alameda <br /> County 20 -Year Transportation Expenditure Plan pursuant to the authority of the State Public <br /> Utilities Code Sections 130000, et. Seq., and <br /> WHEREAS. the 20 -Year Transportation Expenditure Plan was developed by an <br /> Expenditure Plan Development Committee composed of 40 Alameda County citizens and was <br /> modified and approved by a Steering Committee composed of 11 representatives from .Alameda <br /> County Cities. the Board of Supervisors and AC Transit and BART; and <br /> WHEREAS. the 20 -Year Transportation Expenditure Plan consists of programs and <br /> projects that are essential to the movement of people and goods throughout Alameda County and <br /> will provide critical assistance in solving significant transportation and congestion problems of <br /> Alameda County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the interests of the City of San Leandro and its citizens will be benefited by <br /> the implementation of the 20 -Year Transportation Expenditure Plan and the extension of the one- <br /> half of one percent retail sales /use tax to support the new Transportation Expenditure Plan; <br /> NOW. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San <br /> Leandro does hereby approve the Alameda County 20 -Year Transportation Expenditure Plan; <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Leandro <br /> recommends that the Alameda County Board of Supervisors place a proposition on the <br />
