•; i <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 66 (1120/1313 -8/ <br /> a888) <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RECEIVING THE REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE PROPOSED MERGER OF <br /> THE PLAZA 1 AND PLAZA 2 REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREAS AND CONSENTING <br /> TO A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro has prepared <br /> proposed amendments to amend the Redevelopment Plan for the Plaza I Redevelopment Project <br /> Area and the Redevelopment Plan for the Plaza 2 Redevelopment Project Arca to merge the two <br /> Project Areas into one Redevelopment Project Area known as the Plaza Redevelopment Project; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33352 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health <br /> and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) requires that the Agency prepare a report on the proposed <br /> merger; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has caused said report to be prepared; and <br /> WHEREAS, Sections 33348 and 33349 require both the City Council of the City of San <br /> Leandro and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro to conduct a public hearing <br /> on the approval of the proposed merger; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33355 authorizes the Agency and the City Council to hold ajoint <br /> public hearing upon the consent of both. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The City Council hereby receives the Report to the City Council on the <br /> proposed merger and the proposed Amendments to the Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 Redevelopment Plans <br /> to effectuate the merger. <br /> Section 2. The City Council hereby consents to a Joint Public Hearing to be held on the <br /> proposed merger and the proposed Amendments to the Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 Redevelopment <br /> Plans. <br /> 1 <br />
