1. ENGINEER'S LETTER WHEREAS, on July 17, 2000, the City Engineer ( "City Engineer ") of the City of San Leandro (the "City "), State of California, pursuant to Chapter 5, Title II of the San Leandro Municipal Code, ordered the Annual Engineer's Report for the Heron Bay Maintenance Assessment District, Assessment District No. 96 -3 ( "District ") to be prepared; WHEREAS, the City Engineer directed the NBS Government Finance Group to prepare and file the Annual Engineer's Report presenting plans and specifications describing the general nature, location and extent of the improvements to be maintained, an estimate of the costs of the maintenance, operations and servicing of the improvements for the District for the referenced fiscal year, a diagram for the District, showing the area and properties to be assessed, and an assessment of the estimated costs of the maintenance, operations and servicing the improvements, assessing the net amount upon all assessable lots and/or parcels within the District in proportion to the special benefit received; NOW THEREFORE, the following assessment is made to cover the portion of the estimated costs of maintenance, operation and servicing of said improvements to be paid by the assessable real property within the District in proportion to the special benefit received: SUMMARY OF ASSESSMENT (1) (2) (3) As As As Preliminarily Confirmed Modified After Approved and Recorded Recordation Estimated Fiscal Year 2000/01 Costs Maintenance $202,060.00 Contingency 20,206.00 Administration 42,167.00 Estimated 2000/01 Costs $264,433.00 2000/01 Estimated Funds Sources Assessments at 78.95% of Maximum $264,434.52 Estimated 2000 /01 Funds Sources $264,434.52 2000/01 Assessments 451 Single Family Detached @ $464.20 $209,354.20 178 Motor Court Units @ $309.44 55,080.32 Total 2000 /01 Assessments $264,434.52 1 -1
