THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1: Section 2 -3 -100 of Chapter 3 of Title 11 of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br /> is amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 2 -3 -100: The City of San Leandro shall not impose a "City of San Leandro Real <br /> Property Transfer Tax Ordinance" on the citizens of San Leandro. No tax shall be collected by <br /> the Finance Director of the City or his designee on each transfer by deed, instrument of writing, <br /> by which any lands, tenements or other real property located in the City, are sold or granted, <br /> assigned, transferred or otherwise conveyed to, or vested in, a purchaser or purchasers thereof, <br /> or any other person or persons at or by the direction of said purchaser or purchasers. <br /> SECTION I1: Sections 2 -3 -105 through 2 -3 -196 of Chapter 3 of Title II of the San Leandro <br /> Municipal Code are repealed. <br /> SECTION III If any provision of this measure or the application thereof to any person or <br /> circumstances is held INVALID, that invalidity shall not affect other provisions or application, <br /> and to this end the provisions of this measure are severable. <br /> SECTION IV: This measure may not be amended except by another initiative measure <br /> approved by the voters. <br />
