IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 158 (1833) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A PARTICIPATING PUBLIC JURISDICTIONS <br /> (PPJ) AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, THE COUNTY <br /> OF ALAMEDA AND THE CITY OF FREMONT TO JOINTLY FUND THE <br /> ACQUISITION AND REHABILITATION OF A FORMER CONVALESCENT <br /> HOSPITAL FOR USE AS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS <br /> FAMILIES <br /> Recitals <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is committed to the goal of expanding the <br /> supply of decent and affordable housing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro, the County of Alameda and the City of <br /> Fremont have determined to jointly fund the acquisition and rehabilitation; and <br /> WHEREAS, FESCO, a non -profit housing developer submitted a proposal to <br /> acquire a former convalescent home for transitional housing for low- income homeless <br /> families with children; and <br /> WHEREAS, FESCO has requested a HOME contribution in the amount of <br /> $54,675 for the acquisition and rehabilitation of the property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed use of funds is permitted under guidelines of the <br /> Federal HOME Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended approval of said funding <br /> allocation. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br /> RESOLVE as follows: <br /> That said allocation of funds is hereby approved; and <br /> 1 <br />
