DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 3 <br />September 7, 2010 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, City Manager <br />Hollister introduced Business Development Manager Cynthia Battenberg. Ms. <br />Battenberg gave a brief presentation, providing information on the Recovery Zone <br />Facility Bonds, to be used to finance the installation of solar panels at the San Leandro <br />the City from the issuance of the bonds. <br /> <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> <br />There being no comments from the public, and without objection, the Public Hearing <br />was closed. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2010-105 <br />, Resolution Approving the Issuance by the California <br />Statewide Communities Development Authority of Recovery Zone Facility <br />Revenue Bonds for the SunEdison Portfolio #2 ( <br />Department Store). <br /> <br />M/S/C Reed and Prola. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Stephens) <br /> <br /> <br /> 4. PUBLIC HEARINGSJOINT CITY COUNCIL/ REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. <br />fill out a speaker card <br />When you address the City Council, you should and submit it to the <br />City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and <br />NOT <br />addresses obtained. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Dr. Edwin Eylar, San Leandro resident <br />, addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />importance of exercise to seniors, to combat the epidemics of obesity diabetes. He <br />emphasized the importance to seniors of social networking. Dr. Eylar suggested various ways <br />to generate funding to open the new Senior Center. <br /> <br />David Johnson, CEO of San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, <br /> addressed the City <br />Council, announcing an upcoming program, Re-Working Suburbia,on Tuesday, September <br />14 at the San Leandro Main Library. The program is co-sponsored by the Chamber and the <br />City, and features two experts speaking on how and where companies are investing, and what <br />cities can do to attract new investment in their local economies. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
