-- . • Exhibit C VEGETATED SWALE MAINTENANCE PLAN FOR ALCO IRON AND METAL 2140 DAVIS ST., SAN LEANDRO, CA 94577 November 2009 The property contains five vegetated swales, located as described below and as shown on the attached site plan. • Vegetated Swale No. 1, is located at the southwest corner (Davis /Doolittle) flowing east to west, captures 0.421 acres of parking lot • Vegetated Swale No. 2 is located at the southwest corner (Davis /Doolittle) flowing north to south, captures 0.456 acres of parking lot • getated Swale No. a is located at the northwest end of the building, flowing south to north, captures 0.519 acres including the west end of roof and west pavement • Vegetated Swale No. 4 is located at the northwest corner of the property, flowing in a zigzag pattern northwest, captures 0.403 acres from northwest parking area • Vegetated Swale No. S is located at north northwest side of property, flowing west, captures 2.011 acres from north parking lot and roof runoff 1. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES The maintenance objectives for the vegetated swales include keeping up the pollutant removal efficiency of the channel by maintaining a dense, healthy vegetated cover. Routine maintenance activities, and the frequency at which they will be conducted, are shown in Table 1. Table 1.
