City <br /> Manager Hollister said that the City needed to be pro- active in dealing with the issue and <br /> developing a strategy for minimizing the impact of BART's action upon the citizens. <br /> The first step is determining how best to inform and prepare the public for BART's <br /> action. Councilmember Gregory provided several suggestions that include the <br /> Downtown Business Association, a booth at the Sausage & Suds Festival, an ad in the <br /> San Leandro Times, an overhead digital message at the BART Stations, going door to <br /> door with information, an outreach meeting, tying the Links Bus System and creating a <br /> "Park and Ride" location. At the end of the discussion, Councilmember Gregory strongly <br /> voiced his message to "ride a bike!" Councilmember Souza expressed her appreciation to <br /> City Manager Hollister and Uche for their pro- active approach to the issue. <br /> 5. Public Comments <br /> None <br /> 6.
