Sections 102.0 — 102.3.2 of the Uniform Plumbing Code are hereby deleted. Enforcement and <br />abatement procedures set forth in Articles 11, 12, and 13 of this Chapter shall apply to this <br />Article. <br />Section 7 -5 -910 Minimum Number of Required Fixtures and Separate Facilities <br />A. Section 412.1 of the 2010 California Plumbing Code is amended to read: <br />412.1 Fixture Count. Plumbing fixtures shall be provided according to Chapter 29 of <br />the 2010 California Building Code. The use of Table 4 -1 in the 2010 California Plumbing <br />Code is recommended but not mandatory. Provisions of the California Plumbing Code <br />shall govern where applicable. <br />B. Section 412.3 of the 2010 California Plumbing Code is amended to read: <br />412.3 Separate Facilities. Separate toilet facilities shall be provided for each gender <br />according to Chapter 29 of the 2010 California Building Code. Provisions of the <br />California Plumbing Code shall govern where applicable. <br />Section 7 -5 -915 MATERIALS <br />A. Section 316.3.1 of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby deleted and replaced to read as <br />follows: <br />Fixture connections between drainage pipes and water closets, floor outlet service sinks and <br />urinals shall be made by means of approved brass, hard lead, or iron flanges caulked or soldered; <br />rubber compression gaskets; or screwed to the drainage pipe. The connection shall be bolted with <br />an approved gasket, washer, or setting compound between the fixture and connection. The <br />bottom of the flange shall be set on an approved firm base. <br />B. Section 408.4.1 and 408.4.3 of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby deleted and replaced to <br />read as follows: <br />Section 408.4.1- Closet rings (closet flanges) for water closets or similar fixtures shall <br />be of an approved type and shall be bronze, copper, hard lead, cast iron, galvanized <br />malleable iron, or other approved materials. Each such closet ring (closet flange) shall be <br />approximately seven (7) inches (175 mm) in diameter and, when installed, shall, together <br />with the soil pipe, present a one and one -half (1 -1/2) inch (38 mm) wide flange or face to <br />receive the fixture gasket or closet seal. <br />Section 408.4.3 - Closet rings (closet flanges) shall be burned or soldered to lead bends <br />or stubs, shall be caulked to cast -iron soil pipe, and shall be screwed or fastened in an <br />approved manner to other materials. <br />C. Section 701.1.2 of the Uniform Plumbing Code — Materials for Drainage Piping - is hereby <br />deleted and replaced to read as follows: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2010-019 2 <br />
