104.11.3 Systems and devices. <br />No person shall render a system or device inoperative during an emergency unless by direction <br />of the fire chief or fire department official in charge of the incident. <br />SECTION 105 <br />PERMITS <br />105.1 RESERVED. <br />105.2 RESERVED. <br />105.2.1 RESERVED. <br />105.2.2 RESERVED. <br />105.2.3 Time limitation of application. <br />An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have been abandoned 180 <br />days after the date of filing, unless such application has been pursued in good faith or a permit <br />has been issued; except that the code official may extend the time for action by the applicant for <br />a period not exceeding one hundred eighty (180) days upon request by the applicant showing that <br />circumstances beyond the control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken. No <br />application shall be extended more than once. In order to renew action on an application after <br />expiration, the applicant shall resubmit a new application. <br />105.2.4 RESERVED. <br />105.3 RESERVED. <br />105.3.1 Expiration. <br />An operational permit shall remain in effect until reissued, renewed, or revoked or for such a <br />period of time as specified in the permit. Construction permits shall automatically become <br />invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days <br />after its issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned <br />for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced. The fire code official is <br />authorized to grant, to extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding one <br />hundred eighty (180) days upon request by the applicant showing that circumstances beyond the <br />control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken.
