104.11.3 Systems and devices. <br /> No person shall render a system or device inoperative during an emergency unless by direction <br /> of the fire chief or fire department official in charge of the incident. <br /> SECTION 105 <br /> PERMITS <br /> 105.1 RESERVED. <br /> 105.2 RESERVED. <br /> 105.2.1 RESERVED. <br /> 105.2.2 RESERVED. <br /> 105.2.3 Time limitation of application. <br /> An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have been abandoned 180 <br /> days after the date of filing, unless such application has been pursued in good faith or a permit <br /> has been issued; except that the code official may extend the time for action by the applicant for <br /> a period not exceeding one hundred eighty (180) days upon request by the applicant showing that <br /> circumstances beyond the control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken. No <br /> application shall be extended more than once. In order to renew action on an application after <br /> expiration, the applicant shall resubmit a new application. <br /> 105.2.4 RESERVED. <br /> 105.3 RESERVED. <br /> 105.3.1 Expiration. <br /> An operational permit shall remain in effect until reissued, renewed, or revoked or for such a <br /> period of time as specified in the permit. Construction permits shall automatically become <br /> invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days <br /> after its issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned <br /> for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced.
