IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -139 <br /> RESOLUTION ADDING §7.1.205(M) TO TITLE 7, CHAPTER 1 OF THE <br /> SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br /> RELATING TO THE PROPER USE OF TENNIS COURTS AT PUBLIC PARKS AND <br /> RECREATIONAL FACILITES <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to San Leandro Municipal Code Section 4 -27 -100, the City Council <br /> may adopt regulations necessary to protect public property owned and administered by the City; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, non - intended uses at City -owned tennis courts accelerate their wear and tear, <br /> and lead to higher maintenance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1. That Title 7, Chapter 1, §7.1.205 of the San Leandro Administrative Code is <br /> amended to add a subsection (m) as follows: <br /> [New provision proposed to be added is printed in bold italic type.] <br /> §7.1.205. REGULATIONS. The provisions of this section shall be cumulative and are not <br /> intended to replace any otherwise available regulations. No person shall: <br /> (m) Use tennis courts except for their intended purpose. <br /> Section 2. That signs for noticing the above regulation shall read as follows: <br /> Tennis Courts are restricted to tennis only. Persons using tennis courts unrelated to tennis, or <br /> found destroying or misusing public property upon or within the tennis courts may be cited. <br /> (SLMC Section 4 -27 -110) <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Souza and passed and adopted this 15th day of November, <br /> 2010, by the following called vote: <br />
