WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The Administrative Secretary to the Mayor and Senior Clerk to-the City CouncilStaff in <br /> the City Manager's Office are authorized to receive and open all mail addressed to the <br /> Council as a whole, and refer to the City Manager. for immediate ate,t cn -these <br /> eCommunications related to administrative business, and not necessarily requiring <br /> Council action, are referred to the City Manager for immediate attention, so that they may <br /> be handled between Council Meetings. The City Manager will provide aA copy of such <br /> communication and response shall be sent to each Council Member_ marked "For <br /> Purposes of Information." Copies of all other communications sent to Council as a whole <br /> will be transmitted themreviewed by the City Clerk. and either transmitted to each <br /> member of the Council or, for routine, non - priority communications. filed in the Council <br /> office. <br /> Any communication relating to a matter pending, or to be brought before the City <br /> Council, shall be included in the agenda packet for the meeting at which such item is to <br /> be considered. Letters of appeal from administrative or Commission decisions shall be <br /> processed under applicable provisions of the Municipal Code or other ordinances. <br /> Communications specifically addressed to individual Council Members will be <br /> transmitted to them unopened. <br /> PERSONS AUTHORIZED TO BE WITHIN PLATFORM <br /> No person except City officials shall be permitted within the platform area in front of the <br /> Council table without the invitation or consent of the Presiding Officer. <br /> VIII -3 <br />
