CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:09 p.m. <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />Vice Mayor Reed led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Members Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak; <br />Mayor Cassidy <br />ABSENT: None <br />C. Announcements <br />None. <br />2. PRESENTATIONS / RECOGNITIONS <br />A. Proclamation Declaring January 2011 as "National Blood Donor Month" in San <br />Leandro. <br />Councilmember Gregory, who is also Senior Account Manager for American Red Cross <br />Blood Services, accepted the "National Blood Donor Month" proclamation presented by <br />Mayor Cassidy. Councilmember Gregory announced that there is a blood drive at the <br />Marina Community Center this Friday. <br />B. Presentation of Police Chief s Commendations to Malcolm Mason and Dino Rinetti for <br />Their Assistance in Apprehending an Assault Suspect. <br />Mr. Mason and Mr. Rinetti were presented with Police Chief s Certificates of <br />Commendation presented by Police Chief Ian Willis. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS —CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />
