Matter of Fiscal Year 2009 -10 Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro <br />Annual Report (outlines financial information of the San Leandro Redevelopment <br />Agency for Fiscal Year 2009 -10 pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section <br />33080). <br />Ms. Battenberg gave a PowerPoint presentation, providing basic information on <br />redevelopment, and on the Redevelopment Agency Annual Report. The presentation <br />also covered information on San Leandro's three Redevelopment Project Areas and <br />Housing Set - Aside. <br />Staff responded to questions from the Council. <br />• Minute Order No. 2011 -004 Motion Accepting the Fiscal Year 2009 -10 <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro Annual Report. <br />The City Council accepted the Fiscal Year 2009 -10 Redevelopment Agency of <br />the City of San Leandro Annual Report. <br />M/S /C Starosciak and Souza. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />C. Resolution No. 2011 -009 Resolution of Award of Constriction Contract to the Chrisp <br />Company for the East 14 Street Striping and Pedestrian Improvements, Project No. 09- <br />120 -38 -244 (recommends award to the lowest responsive bidder in the amount of <br />$118,255 for the subject project). Bids opened on September 22, 2010. <br />Engineering and Transportation Director Uche Udemezue provided the history and an <br />overview of the project, and commented on the extensive community outreach <br />conducted by staff. Mr. Udemezue stated that staff is presenting a project that satisfies <br />the needs of the vast maj ority of the residents, is technically sound, and would solve the <br />issues raised by the community. <br />Principal Engineer Keith Cooke gave a PowerPoint presentation, providing background <br />on the evolution of the East 14 Street configuration from 1996 to present; the extensive <br />community outreach performed by staff, including public surveys and the formation of a <br />13- member community traffic management group; the issues raised by the community, <br />including the need for ease of left turns onto East 14 Street, congestion at the Dutton <br />Avenue intersection, and pedestrian safety; and staffs recommendation to address these <br />issues. <br />Staff responded to questions from the Council. <br />
