Casa Verde, and Estabrook Place, among others, resulting in the development of over 700 <br /> housing units; and <br /> WHEREAS, after several years of reduced revenues and funding challenges, San <br /> Leandro has no other funding available to support economic and business development efforts <br /> that strengthen the economy, modernize aging infrastructure and generally reduce blight within <br /> the city. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Leandro formally opposes the <br /> Administration's proposal to abolish redevelopment in California. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of San Leandro authorizes its <br /> Council and City staff to communicate its opposition to this proposal to the Governor, the <br /> Legislature, business groups, and citizens. <br /> Passed and adopted at a meeting of the City Council of the City of San Leandro on the <br /> day of , 2011, by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: <br /> NOES: <br /> ABSTAIN: <br /> ABSENT: <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
