DRAFT MINUTES Page 16 <br />Cite of San Leandro Cite Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting — February 22, 2011 <br />Councilmember Gregory reported that he has joined a group called Alameda County Stop <br />Hepatitis B. <br />Mayor Cassidy requested and received consensus from the Council to do the following: <br />• Refer discussion of the crash tax to the City Council Finance Committee. <br />• Issue a proclamation, recognizing the accomplishments of Nonito Donaire. <br />• Refer the creation of an action plan to address the pavement conditions on East 14 Street <br />in downtown San Leandro to the City Council Facilities and Transportation Committee. <br />Mayor Cassidy requested that a Disaster Council meeting be scheduled. He expressed interest <br />in expanding the San Leandro Branding and Marketing Group, to better reflect the diversity of <br />the community. He requested that staff be directed to obtain recommendations from the <br />chairs of the African American, Latino and Asian Business Councils for one member from <br />each group to be added to the Branding and Marketing Group. Councilmember Souza <br />expressed support for scheduling the idea for future discussion. <br />Mayor Cassidy announced that tonight's meeting would be adjourned in memory of Faith <br />Frazier, a former City Councilmember and longtime civic activist, who passed away on <br />February 20 at age 85. Mrs. Frazier served on the Board of Library Trustees from 1962- <br />1974, served on the City Council from 1974 -1982, and was a charter member of the San <br />Leandro Arts Council and local League of Women Voters. <br />12.
