IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -056 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE BAY AREA RAPID TRANSIT <br /> (BART) - DOWNTOWN PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> Recitals <br /> WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Transportation Commission awarded a Transportation for <br /> Livable Communities (TLC) grant to the City of San Leandro. <br /> WHEREAS, The City Manager has recommended that the said funds be used to fund the <br /> Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) - Downtown Pedestrian Improvement project. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro understands that the TLC funding is fixed at the <br /> programmed amount and any increase in project costs cannot be expected to be funded with <br /> additional TLC funds. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That an appropriation of funds be made in the amount of $1,916,033 from the following <br /> funds: <br /> • $1,220,000 from the Kaiser Community Impact Fund intended for traffic <br /> improvements in lieu of Development Fee for Street Improvements (DFSI) <br /> • $96,118 from the Development Fee for Street Improvements (DFSI) Fund for traffic <br /> equipment <br /> • $76,894 from Measure B Streets & Roads funds for street improvements <br /> • $211,458 from Measure B Bike & Pedestrian funds for pedestrian streetscape <br /> improvements <br /> • $311.563 in grant funds <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Reed and passed and adopted this 7th day of March, 2011, <br /> by the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza.
