Public Comments <br /> Al Frates stated that his questions were answered during the meeting but thought that the <br /> comparison Councilmember Souza requested would be a good idea. <br /> Dave Johnson requested that the Committee and/or Council think of having a Town Hall meeting <br /> to explain the retirement system to the public. Also, Mr. Johnson would like to know how the <br /> City will be affected if the State is victorious in eliminating the Redevelopment Agency of the <br /> City of San Leandro. <br /> Darlene Evans discussed the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and questioned if the City <br /> has special insurance for ADA projects, e.g. curb replacements. Ms. Evans also asked that the <br /> Council formally denounce the California Lottery. <br /> Mia Ouslie agreed with Dave Johnson that a Town Hall meeting should be held so that the public <br /> may have a Q &A session. <br /> 5. Committee Comments <br /> Councilmember Gregory attended the Fire Commission meeting and reported that Alameda <br /> County Fire's dispatchers will begin dispatching ambulances. Councilmember Gregory <br /> anticipates an increase to the ALCO Fire contract with the City. Councilmember Gregory <br /> inquired about the Real Property Transfer Tax and compared to other cities, where does San <br /> Leandro stand? <br /> Mayor Cassidy thanked staff for the work and asked that the subject of a Town Hall meeting be <br /> discussed at a future meeting.
