IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2011 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING BILLING RESIDENTS FOR SEWER SERVICE THE <br /> INCREMENTAL MONTHLY INCREASE OF $1.31 FOR SINGLE FAMILY HOMES AND <br /> $0.94 FOR MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010 -11 ON THE <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY PROPERTY TAX STATEMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011 -12 <br /> WHEREAS, Section 3 -14 -810 of the San Leandro Municipal Code requires and authorizes <br /> payment of user wastewater charges and fees to be paid to the City associated with the connection <br /> to and use of the sanitary sewer, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Alameda County Property Tax Statement for fiscal year 2010 -11 failed to <br /> include the rate approved by the City Council for fiscal year 2010 -11 for residential users, and <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that City Council authorize communication with City <br /> residents regarding the forthcoming rate adjustment <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That the incremental increase in fees and charges for sewer services of residential dwelling <br /> units for the period of July 1, 2010 to and including June 30, 2011 be filed with the County Auditor <br /> of the County of Alameda prior to August 10, 2011, who shall enter such incremental fees and <br /> charges, in addition to the sewer service charges established for fiscal year 2011 -12, as an <br /> assessment of the tax roll and against the respective premises; and <br /> That staff is authorized to communicate with residents regarding the forthcoming rate <br /> adjustment. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Cutter and passed and adopted this 21st day of March, 2011, <br /> by the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak; <br /> Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: , <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
