Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> 4. PUBLIC HEARINGS —JOINT CITY COUNCIL / REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> None. <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. <br /> When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the <br /> City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and <br /> addresses obtained. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br /> listed on the Agenda. <br /> Mia Ousley, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, requesting the Council <br /> adopt a resolution opposing Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's rescission of collective <br /> bargaining rights for public sector workers, and opposing California Assembly Bill 961. Ms. <br /> Ousley read the proposed resolution and provided a written version to the Council. <br /> Mike Katz, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on the RedFlex <br /> red Tight camera agreement. Mr. Katz asked the Council to consider whether red Tight <br /> cameras are the most cost - effective tools for reducing traffic accidents, and whether the <br /> $414,000 per year the City spends on red Tight cameras would be better spent on police <br /> officers. <br /> 6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Hollister updated the Council on a proposal to provide assistance to seven homeowners in <br /> the Dutton/Dowling/Beverly area for replacement of a private sewer line and laterals. <br /> Engineering and Transportation staff will be meeting with the affected property owners to <br /> seek resolution, and the matter will be brought to the Council for an update at its April 4' <br /> meeting. Mr. Hollister indicated that he would look into a question raised by Mayor Cassidy <br /> regarding extension of the property owners' 45 -day response deadline. <br />
