Update on Development Projects <br /> a. Branding and Marketing Strategy: Battenberg informed the Committee that the <br /> business working group for the Branding and Marketing Strategy had its first <br /> meeting on April 4th. The meeting was well attended and the group shared their <br /> ideas for the future of San Leandro. <br /> b. Farmers' Market: The very popular seasonal Farmers' Market in Downtown returns <br /> April 20 The Market takes place each Wednesday, from 4 -8 p.m. at Parrott Street <br /> between Washington and East 14 Streets, through October 19. <br /> c. Sustainability Circle Preview: Battenberg informed the Committee that the City of <br /> San Leandro will be sponsoring another Sustainability Circle in 2011. Last year's <br /> program was very successful and resulted in a number of projects which increased the <br /> competitiveness of San Leandro businesses and had substantial environmental <br /> benefits. Marina Mechanical, a participant in last year's Sustainability Circle, will be <br /> hosting a free preview meeting on April 22' from 8:00 to 9:30 AM. <br /> d. Marina Square: two new stores will be opening at Marina Square shopping center in <br /> the coming months, a new Guess store in the space vacated by Anna's Linens, and an <br /> Espirit outlet at the former Dressbarn location. <br /> 5. Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Report — April/May /June 2010 <br /> Chamber of Commerce CEO Dave Johnson updated the Committee on the Chamber of Commerce <br /> activities in the 3rd Quarter for 2010 -2011 — (see attached memo). <br /> The Committee discussed how the Chamber's activities are reported and the financial support the <br /> Chamber receives from the City of San Leandro. <br /> 6. Public Comments: None. <br /> 7. Committee Member Comments: None <br /> 8.
