ADOPT: Resolution Appropriating Matching Funds Towards a 2011 -12 Bicycle <br /> Transportation Account [BTA] Grant Project (appropriates $55,600 matching funds to <br /> implement the bicycle network in support of the San Leandro Priority Development <br /> Areas by placing Class II bike lanes and Class III bike routes in selected locations in <br /> conformance with the City's recently adopted Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and <br /> Design Guidelines). <br /> City Manager Hollister clarified the scope of this item. Councilmember Cutter stated <br /> that she would like to see a map or have more information to better understand the <br /> concept. Engineering and Transportation Director Uche Udemezue indicated that he <br /> would provide a map to the Council. <br /> 1. ADOPT: Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with <br /> Redflex Traffic Systems for the Renewal of the Red Light Photo Enforcement Program <br /> (provides for renewal of contract through December 31, 2018 for 5 approaches). <br /> Police Chief Sandra Spagnoli reviewed the changes that have been made to the <br /> proposed agreement based on the Council's discussion and direction at its April 4 <br /> meeting. The changes include capping the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase to 2 %; <br /> a change in the suspension clause in the event of street construction, from 14 days to 7 <br /> days; a termination clause, which would allow the City to terminate the contract in the <br /> event of legislative changes which substantially impact the operations of the program; <br /> and temporary suspension of the contract in the event of an adverse ruling in Alameda <br /> County on a red light camera citation. <br />
