Park Pathways (WW) - Award of Contract 2 May 16, 2011 <br /> Analysis <br /> A total of eleven (1 1) bids were received on April 19, 2011. The bids ranged from $425,010.00 <br /> to $715,291.00, with Andes Construction submitting the lowest bid in the amount of <br /> $425,010.00, which has been determined to be a responsive bid. The engineer's estimate for <br /> construction was $513,825.00. <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> On March 21, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -065, City Council approved the plans and <br /> specifications and called for bids for the subject project. <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> Goal 52 — Ensure that local water, sewer, storm drainage, and solid waste facilities are well <br /> maintained; improvements meet existing and future needs; and land use decisions are contingent <br /> on the adequacy and maintenance of such facilities. <br /> Goal 16.03 — Regularly maintain City streets and traffic control devices to ensure that streets <br /> operate safely and efficiently. <br /> Environmental Review <br /> Through CEQA review under Class 15, Minor Land Subdivisions, of Titles, Chapter 1 of the San <br /> Leandro Administrative Code, this project has been deemed a Categorical Exclusion. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> • The total cost of the San Leandro Boulevard (SLB) /Davis Street Sewer Capacity <br /> Improvements -Phase 1 project is $600,000.00 <br /> • Construction costs are estimated at $425,010.00 <br /> • There is no net increase in the annual maintenance costs for Public Works Services <br /> Budget Authority <br /> Sanitary sewer improvements will be funded using the Water Pollution Control Plant Enterprise <br /> funds approved as part of the FY 2009 -10 budget in CIP Account No. 593 -52 -247. <br /> Tra esely, Finance irector <br /> Attachments <br /> Bid Summary <br /> G:1_Council Items In Proccss6May 16\SIb -Davis Si Ss Improvements - Award\Sewer Award Mem.Docx <br />
