CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> City Councilmembers announce calendar of upcoming events and coordinate attendance. <br /> Vice Mayor Gregory announced the Districts 1 and 2 Town Hall meeting on May 3` and the <br /> public meeting on the San Leandro Creek Hazardous Tree Removal Project on May 4 <br /> Councilmember Souza announced the Cinco de Mayo celebration at City Hall on May 5 at <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Cutter announced the Relay for Life on May 21 <br /> Councilmember Prola announced the Davis Street Transfer Station Neighborhood Forum on <br /> May 12 the fundraiser at the Vine for Building Futures with Women and Children on May <br /> 12 and the San Leandro Education Foundation fundraiser on May 22 " <br /> Councilmember Reed announced a May 12 workshop in Fremont for individuals interested <br /> in a State Commission appointment. <br /> 12. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> City Councilmembers report on meetings and other local events attended since the last <br /> meeting; report on attendance at conferences and seminars; and make brief comments on <br /> issues of concern. <br /> Councilmember Reed reported that she attended the Housing Authority Scholarship <br /> Committee meeting on April 21 the Disaster Council meeting on April 22 " a celebration <br /> honoring the Alta Mira Club on April 23` the dedication of the San Leandro Arts Education <br /> Center on April 25 the Arbor Day tree planting at McKinley School, and the Halcyon <br /> Foothill Homeowners Association meeting on April 26 the Housing Authority Negotiating <br /> Committee meeting, and the Taste of San Leandro on April 28 the Family Services <br /> Counseling and Community Resource Center open house on April 29 and the Black <br /> Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA) training for foster care parents at Chabot <br /> College on April 30 where she was a speaker. Councilmember Reed expressed hope that <br /> the City would consider proclaiming a day of recognition for the Alta Mira Club for its <br /> contributions to San Leandro. <br /> Councilmember Prola reported that he attended two meetings of the East Bay Dischargers <br /> Authority (EBDA) on April 19 and 21 a census data meeting at the Library on April 20 <br /> the Oakland Airport Noise Management Forum, and a meeting with representatives from the <br /> Congregations Organizing for Renewal (COR) on April 21 the Easter egg hunt, and Senator <br /> Ellen Corbett's Women of the Year awards at the Alta Mira Club on April 23` the Arts <br /> Education Center ribbon - cutting on April 25 the Arbor Day tree planting on April 26 <br /> Leadership San Leandro's Taste of San Leandro on April 28 and the Democratic <br /> Convention in Sacramento this past weekend. <br />
