Ms. Fowler reported that the City would cut over to the new domain name <br /> in July, but the email auto -fill feature will still bring up old email addresses unless they are <br /> deleted from the user's email account. <br /> At the Committee's request, Ms. Fowler will create a vCard (electronic business card) for the <br /> Councilmembers on their web pages. <br /> Ms. Omelas indicated that new business cards will be replaced as the individual's business card <br /> stock is depleted. <br /> 2. Discussion Regarding Consideration of Draft Resolution Opposing Legislation that <br /> Restricts Collective Bargaining <br /> Ms. Omelas distributed the second draft resolution, which was revised at the request of <br /> Councilmember Prola to include reference to AB 961. A discussion ensued regarding the <br /> Council's adopted guidelines, which addresses support of, or opposition to, ballot measures, but <br /> does not address legislation, as well as Councilmember Prola's suggestion that the resolution <br /> include direction to send the resolution to the Governor and San Leandro's state legislators. <br /> Committee members discussed the content of the draft resolution, and expanding the scope of <br /> the Council's guidelines to include legislation. Ms. Williams suggested additional language for <br /> the resolution regarding AB 961. <br /> Committee Recommendation: The Committee recommends the City Council schedule <br /> consideration of a Resolution Opposing Legislation Impeding Local Govemments or Employee <br /> Labor Organizations from Collective Bargaining for Employee Benefits or Working <br /> Conditions, and direct staff to send the resolution, if adopted, to the Governor and San <br /> Leandro's state legislators. <br /> The Committee further recommends the City Council schedule consideration of an amendment <br /> to Appendix D, Guidelines Regarding Council Support for or Opposition to Ballot Measures, of <br /> the Councilmembers Handbook, to add support for, or opposition to, legislation. <br /> 3.
