IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011- <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 7 TO THE SAN LEANDRO <br />ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR THE <br />NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC CALMING PROGRAM <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully examined and reviewed the staff <br />report and proposed amendment to the San Leandro Administrative Code as it relates to <br />the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br />RESOLVE as follows: <br />That Section 8.7.105 of the San Leandro Administrative Code, entitled "Traffic <br />Calming Program ", is amended to read as follows: <br />" §8.7.105 MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION. A roadway may <br />qualify for the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program if all of the following conditions <br />exist: <br />(a) The roadway is a local residential roadway, a residential collector roadway, or <br />a collector roadway as defined in the San Leandro General Plan's <br />Transportation Element. <br />(b) If the roadway is a local residential roadway, the critical speed must be at least <br />43 miles per hour (mph) or the average daily traffic volume must be at least <br />1,000 vehicles per day (vpd). <br />(c) If the roadway is a residential collector roadway, the critical speed must be at <br />least 34 miles per hour (mph) or the average daily traffic volume must be at <br />least 2,000 vehicles per day (vpd). <br />(d) If the roadway is a collector roadway, street segments of selected collectors <br />must contain more than 95% residential properties as determined by the <br />Engineering and Transportation Department. The segments identified shall <br />use the prioritization criteria of a residential collector roadway as defined in <br />(c). <br />
