IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2011-112 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A THREE -YEAR CONTRACT FOR AUDIT SERVICES WITH <br /> MAZE AND ASSOCIATES, A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING <br /> FIRM, FOR THE FISCAL YEARS ENDING 2010 -11 THROUGH 2012 -13, WITH AN OPTION <br /> TO EXTEND AUDITING SERVICES FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO FISCAL YEARS, BY <br /> WRI ITEN AGREEMENT AND AT THE OPTION OF THE CITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro, on March 11, 2011, issued RFP# 50861 to solicit <br /> proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the financial statements of the <br /> City for fiscal years 2010 -11 through fiscal year 2012 -13; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Department Staff, using predetermined criteria, interviewed all <br /> respondents by telephone, checked client references, checked the State Board of Accountancy for any <br /> actions taken against the firms, and interviewed the top candidates in person; and <br /> WHEREAS, the staff recommendations were reviewed and approved by the Finance <br /> Committee on June 6, 2011; and <br /> WHEREAS, an Agreement between the City of San Leandro and Maze and Associates, a <br /> copy of which is attached, has been presented to this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended approval of said agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That said agreement is hereby approved and execution thereof is hereby authorized. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Prola and passed and adopted this 20th day of June, 2011, by <br /> the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Sousa, Starosciak; <br /> Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> A ITEST: i V l.ank(s(ztn./ yid <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
