WPCP Rehab <br />Award of Contract (Amoroso) <br />Code Compliance Review <br />July 5, 2011 <br />Code review was completed as part of the permit approval from the City of San Leandro <br />Building Division and the Alameda County Fire Department. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total estimated cost of this phase of the project is $50,000,000. This includes the <br />construction contract, contingencies, testing and inspection, and administration costs as follows: <br />Construction Contract with S.J Amoroso: $40,127,000 <br />Consultant Contract with CTS for Testing and Special Inspection: $125,057 <br />Consultant Contract with Carollo for Support Services: $ 3,231,229 <br />Estimated Construction Contingencies at 10% Construction Costs: $ 4,020,000 <br />City Staff Estimated Construction Administration Costs: $ 2,496,714 <br />Total Budgeted Cost: $50,000,000 <br />The following contracts will be fully or partially funded by the SCWRB loan: <br />1) The construction contract with S.J. Amoroso Construction Company $40,127,000 <br />2) Consultant contract for construction support $ 2,873,000 <br />$43,000,000 <br />The following contracts will be fully or partially funded by the Water Pollution Control Plant <br />Enterprise Fund: <br />1) City staff construction administration $ 2,496,714 <br />2) Consultant contract for construction support $ 358,229 <br />3) Consultant contract for testing and special inspection $125,057 <br />4) Construction contingencies $4,020,000 <br />$7,000,000 <br />Budget Authority <br />The SWRCB State Revolving loan of $43 million will be fully appropriated in a newly created <br />revenue fund. The related project costs identified above will be expended from this special <br />revenue fund. This appropriation will be included in the FY 2011 -12 mid -year budget <br />adjustments recommended to City Council. <br />The Water Pollution Control Plant Enterprise Fund (Fund 593) contains budget authority in the <br />FY 2011 -12 budget for the full $7,000,000.
