On notification of the fund authorization we rapidly moved to <br /> complete the projects during this summer. A status of the project is as follows: <br /> Muir Middle School <br /> The project consists of window replacements at all permanent buildings on the <br /> campus. The project was designed by AEDIS Architects who received the <br /> Division of State Architect approval on January 10, 2006. The project was <br /> competitively bid and awarded to Zolman Construction with Boyd window <br /> systems being listed. The contract amount for this school is $830,500. The <br /> contractor was given a notice to proceed on March 20, 2006 and the scheduled <br /> completion date was August 25, 2006. Change orders include minor dry rot <br /> repair and window trim replacement. The contractor has completed the <br /> installation of the windows and is currently completing the finishes. An <br /> Architectural preliminary punch list was completed on August 17, 2006. All work <br /> including punch list is scheduled to be complete by September 15, 2006 except <br /> for the gymnasium, which has been delayed due to the wrong windows being <br /> ordered. These windows are scheduled to be installed on September 29, 2006. <br /> Wilson Elementary School <br /> The project consists of window and skylight replacements at all permanent <br /> buildings on the campus. The project was designed by AEDIS Architects who <br /> received the Division of State Architect approval on January 26, 2006. The <br /> project was competitively bid and was awarded to Zolman Construction with <br /> Boyd window systems being listed. The contract amount for this school is <br /> $671,500. The contractor was given a notice to proceed on March 20, 2006 and <br /> the scheduled completion date was August 25, 2006. Change orders include <br /> window flashing modifications and skylight curb flashing changes. The contractor <br /> has completed the installation of the windows and skylights and is currently <br /> completing the finishes. An Architectural preliminary punch list was completed on <br /> Students' Dreams, Tomorrow's World: Learning to Make a Difference <br />
