Update on Noise Insulation Program <br /> William Schock gave an update on the insulation program. A recommendation will be going <br /> to the City Council on Jan. 17 for approval to go forward with a contract with G.E. Chen <br /> Construction. The firm has a good reputation for home insulation projects and is known for <br /> thorough follow- through with the homeowners. If the contract is approved by the City <br /> Council, they will schedule a pre - construction meeting for the first 10 homes in early <br /> February. It will take approximately 6 -weeks for ordering and delivery of materials. <br /> Constniction could begin in March. The project architect should begin architectural surveys <br /> of the next 95 homes this month. <br /> Councilmember Grant had questions regarding one homeowner's choice for a different type • <br /> of window. <br /> Questions from the audience were allowed and included discussions regarding lead and <br /> asbestos testing and the qualifications of the selected contractor. <br /> Committee Recommendations <br /> None <br />
