Since that time the FAA's
environmental team has been gathering information from the Port, golf course
operators of Metropolitan Golf Links and local regulatory agencies to determine
potential environmental impacts and to design installation specifications for an
ILS.
Port and FAA staff will meet again this month to review design options prepared
by the FAA to determine the best alternative(s). Plans also will be shared with
the golf course operators for their input. Total funding for the project has.not yet
been allocated by the and must be obtained before installation plans can be
finalized. Assuming funding is secured for the project and an installation plan is •
approved by the parties, the Port will facilitate a public meeting with the FAA
relative to environmental documents related to the ILS.
Please give me or Carole•Wedl (563 -2881) a call if you have any questions.
Sin - ely, •
4111
- en Grossman •
Director of Aviation
530 Water Street is Jack London Square ■ P.O.
