IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011- <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE FOR THE <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2011 ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br />WHEREAS, the League of California Cities ( "League ") 2011 Annual Conference is <br />scheduled for September 21 -23 in San Francisco; and <br />WHEREAS, an important part of the Annual Conference is the Annual Business Meeting, <br />scheduled for September 23, in which the League membership considers and takes action on <br />resolutions that establish League policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council must designate a voting delegate in order to vote at the <br />Annual Business Meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council may appoint up to two alternate voting delegates in the event <br />that the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That Councilmember Joyce Starosciak is hereby designated as the voting delegate; and <br />That Vice Mayor Michael Gregory and Councilmember Diana Souza are hereby designated <br />as the alternate voting delegates. <br />Introduced by <br />the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />and passed and adopted this 18th day of July 2011 by <br />
