Annual Overlay /Rehab 2010 -11 <br />Award of Contract 2 July 18, 2011 <br />• Andover Street from Burkhart Avenue to Lewelling Boulevard <br />• Astor Drive from View Drive to Lake Chabot Road <br />• Begier Avenue from Chetland Road to Bancroft Avenue <br />• Pearson Avenue from Gilmore Drive to Valley Street <br />Johnson Street from Leonard Drive to Gilmore Drive <br />• Valley Street from Pearson Avenue to Gilmore Drive <br />• Maria Drive from Leonard Drive to Johnson Street <br />In addition, a portion of the segment of Bancroft Avenue from San Leandro Creek to Callan <br />Avenue will be repaired to correct pavement defects due to trench settlement in the area. The <br />project's scope of work also includes installation of curb ramps to meet current Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and installation of rubber speed cushions along Victoria Court <br />and Victoria Avenue. <br />Previous City Council Actions <br />On June 20, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -119, the City Council approved the plans and <br />specifications for the subject project and authorized the call for bids. <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />This action is consistent with Streets and Highway Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and Action <br />Item 16.03: Maintenance. <br />Code Compliance Review <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption has been filed with Alameda County, <br />pursuant to Section 15301 "Existing Facilities ". <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total project cost is estimated at $1,288,981.76 and is funded by Proposition 1 -B funds, <br />Water Pollution Control Plant Enterprise funds, Developer Fees for Street Improvements funds, <br />and General Funds. The construction cost including contingencies and construction management <br />is estimated at $1,239,115.28. <br />Budget Authority <br />The project construction costs will be funded with the following existing CIP accounts: <br />1) $1,092,265.45, Proposition 1 -B fund, Account No. 149 -38 -327, for the pavement work; <br />2) $36,900.00, Water Pollution Control Plant Enterprise fund, Account No. 593 -52 -117, for <br />sewer related work; <br />
