The City Council last approved new Council district boundaries in 2002, following <br />the 2000 federal census. The 2010 federal census data, released in March 2011, reveals <br />population growth of 6.92% citywide, triggering the Charter requirement for the Council's <br />review of its district boundaries. <br />Lianne Marshall <br />Interim City Manager <br />The following is a comparison of the 2000 and 2010 census population figures by Council <br />district. According to the 2010 census, the citywide population is 84,950; making the target, or <br />average, district population 14,158 for each of the six Council districts.
